This policy explains what personal information I collect, why I collect it, how I look after it and what your rights are. I’ve tried to keep it in plain English.

Who I am

This website and my coaching are run by CDH Holdings Limited, a company based in Jersey, Channel Islands, trading as The Rebooted Man. Coaching is delivered by me, Carl Huelin. CDH Holdings Limited is the data controller for the personal information described here, which means it decides how it is used and is responsible for looking after it. In this policy, “I”, “me” and “my” mean CDH Holdings Limited and Carl Huelin.

CDH Holdings Limited is registered with the Jersey Office of the Information Commissioner.

If you have any questions about this policy or your information, email me at carl@therebootedman.com.

What information I collect

I only collect what I need. Depending on how you use the site or work with me, that may include:

  • Waitlist and email list: your first name, email address and location (so I can plan call times).
  • Bookings: your name, email address, the time you book and anything you tell me in the booking questions.
  • Payments: confirmation that you have paid. Payments are handled by PayPal, and I never see or store your card details.
  • Coaching: notes from our sessions, your plan and progress tracker, and messages you send me (for example on WhatsApp or by email).
  • The Reboot Sprint for businesses: contact details for the person arranging it, and names and contact details for the people taking part.
  • Website use: information about how you use the site, such as the pages you visit, collected through cookies if you agree to them.

During coaching you might choose to tell me about things like your health, wellbeing or relationships. I only use this to support you, I keep it confidential and I don’t share it with anyone.

How I use your information and why

Under the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018 I need a lawful reason to use your information. Mine are:

  • Your consent: to add you to the waitlist and email list, and for any website cookies that aren’t essential. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
  • To deliver what you’ve booked: to arrange and run your sessions, create your plan, support you between calls and take payment.
  • Legal obligations: to keep financial records for tax and accounting.
  • Legitimate interests: to reply to messages you send me, keep the website secure and understand how it’s being used so I can improve it.

Emails and marketing

If you join the waitlist or sign up for updates, I’ll use your details to email you about the Midlife Mission Club. I’ll also send occasional emails with things I think you’ll find useful, and news about my coaching, workshops and other services.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email, or by emailing me. I’ll remove you straight away.

I don’t sell your information and I don’t share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Who I share it with

I use a small number of trusted services to run my business. They only process your information to provide their service to me:

  • Mailchimp for the waitlist and email updates.
  • Cal.id for bookings.
  • PayPal to take payments.
  • Google for email, documents, your progress tracker and website analytics.
  • WhatsApp for messages between sessions, if we use it during coaching.
  • Zoom and Microsoft Teams for video calls.
  • My website host, and plugins that keep the site secure and manage cookie consent.

The website also shows a feed from my Instagram account. When it loads, Instagram may receive information about your visit.

Some of these services store information outside Jersey, the UK and the EU, for example in the United States. Where that happens, they use recognised safeguards, such as approved contract terms, to protect it.

I would only share your information with anyone else if the law required me to, or if I believed someone was at serious risk of harm.

Cookies

The website uses some cookies that are needed for it to work, and others, such as Google Analytics, that help me understand how people use it. Non-essential cookies are only used if you agree to them in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time.

How long I keep it

  • Waitlist and email list: until you unsubscribe.
  • Coaching notes, plans and messages: for up to 12 months after we finish working together, then deleted.
  • Financial records: for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting.
  • Emails and enquiries: for as long as needed to deal with them.

How I keep it safe

I store information in secure, password-protected accounts with two-factor authentication where available. Only I have access to your coaching information.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the information I hold about you
  • ask me to correct anything that’s wrong or incomplete
  • ask me to delete your information
  • ask me to limit how I use it
  • object to me using it
  • ask for it in a format you can take elsewhere
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where I’m relying on it

To use any of these rights, email carl@therebootedman.com. There’s no charge, and I’ll reply within four weeks.

Making a complaint

If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your information, please get in touch with me first and I’ll do my best to put it right.
